If you can see this blog post, you’re seeing the domain on its new servers at Tiger Tech. This is a Good Thing, but there are a couple FYIs to share:
- I’ve never moved a blog from one hosting company to another, so there may be broken images or other signs of destruction — particularly on older posts, I’d assume. If you spot anything unusual, I’d love to hear about it.
- Because I did a poor job of timing the move and importing content from the old WordPress install to the new one, all of the comments on the previous blog post — Old SEO Tools vs. New SEO Tools — have disappeared. I’m sorry! I think those are the only comments missing.
I chose Tiger Tech because that’s where both Search Engine Land and Marketing Land are hosted, and our technical people say they’re a great hosting company. The process of switching hosts was easier than I expected it to be, thanks in part to the excellent online support I found from Tiger Tech. I’ll likely be moving all of my other blogs to Tiger Tech soon.
In any case, this is just a heads up about those two items above. Normal blogging will resume shortly!
