Wanmokku
Wanmokku is a minimal design created by Japan-based Torafu Architects. The initial inspiration for the design came from an informal encounter with a Jack Russell Terrier. Through careful observation, the designers noticed that the dog would always come into close proximity to the clothes of the owner – most likely due to the reassuring scent and pleasant touch of the fabric.
Torafu decided to take this interesting observation a step further by creating a furniture piece which would use the owner’s old clothes as a foundation for where a dog could play and rest. The elastic nature of the clothes forms a hammock like surface when attached to the frame. Depending on the season, the user can also adjust the material of the clothing according to the temperature.
The construction of this design is incredibly simple as well; the assembly involves attaching two pieces of plywood frame and a wooden deck. The hinge at the front of the design is necessary for the stability of the frame as well as acting as a tiny stair for the dog to step on. (at Design Milk)

You won't be using it to train for the World's Strongest Man competition, but if all you're looking for is enough weight to keep tone while you're sitting at your desk, the Alias Barbell is all you need. Available in 1kg (2.2lbs) or 2kg (4.4lbs) varieties, these sleek fitness implements are made from chromed casting brass, and feature thermoplastic rubber on the ends to keep your desk — and the weight — from getting scratched up. Designed by the one and only Philippe Starck. (at Uncrate)
Custom Movie Action Figures
Ever wish you could have an action figure for your favorite movie characters that fall outside the realm of kid-friendly films? Like, for instance, Travis Bickle, Michael Myers, or Mad Max? Now you can. These Custom Movie Action Figures are mostly custom-made and come in custom packaging that looks like something you'd buy in a store. In addition, some of your favorites that actually do have figures — like Indy and Darth Vader — get new packaging that makes it appear as if they'd been culled from the ranks of GI Joe. Perfect for decorating the ol' home theater entrance. (at Uncrate)

Qlocktwo Watch
Qlocktwo brings the ingenious concept of telling the time with words to your wrist. At first glance, it appears to be nothing more than a matrix of seemingly randomly arranged letters. Only the gentle touch of a button reveals it is half past eight. Words are displayed at five-minute intervals, while four small dots give the precise time in minutes: just like its award-winning predecessors, the legendary qlocktwo and qlocktwo touch.
