16 years ago today, I married a beautiful 29-year-old young lady named Karen.
Now, I’m married to a beautiful mother of three children.
In between, I’ve been married to a pastor, an administrator and an HR professional.
I’ve been married to a woman who was terrified of becoming a mother and now I’m married to a natural, loving mum who can’t imagine being anything else.
I’ve been married to my partner in love and my partner in business.
I’ve also been married to:
- My best friend.
- My closest confidante.
- My biggest fan.
- and my greatest encourager.
16 years ago, I married the love of my life whom I couldn’t imagine loving more than I did that day.
Today, I’m married to a woman whom I love more and more every day.
16 years ago, I made a covenant in front of God, family and friends to love and cherish her for as long as we both live.
She and I have both changed a lot in that time, but the vows remain and forever will.
She may be many things, as the song from Billy Joel that was played at our wedding says,
“I said I love you and that’s forever,
And this I promise from the heart,
I could not love you any better,
I love you just the way you are.”
Thanks Karen for the past 16 years. It’s been a wonderful love story and adventure so far and I’m tremendously excited about our future together.
