This JavaScript video demonstrates creating a method and using the “this” keyword. A method is a function that is defined as an Object property. In order for a method to use other property values of the current object it needs to utilize the “this” keyword. Our example is a rework of the chapter 6 “employee” exercise that introduced using an Object. We upgrade the employee object to use a method to concatenate lastname, firstname (other object properties). This is the forth exercise in chapter 7 from the book Modern JavaScript: Develop and Design by Larry Ullman. Code will be available on DaveCoast.com.
